I’m back from a harrowing respiratory infection that lasted the better part of two months.
Ready to jump right into something happy. So let’s celebrate my daughter. She just went to her third – and last – prom.
Senior Prom, 2015:
Boo getting pampered.
She hates this photo, but it’s my favorite. She looks so happy.
Just blurry, radiant goodness. ❤
When someone interrupts you while you’re taking a selfie…
Spooky the cat (bottom left of photo) approved the final look. So off we went…
Christian seeing her dress for the first time. That’s his dad on the right.
And so began the exchanging of corsages and things. And the usual onslaught of photos. The overcast sky + Lana’s super-whiteness + the bright color of her dress = A GLOW in almost every photo. Appropriate, as she lights up the room everywhere she goes…
That face, though.
He likes to touch her nose. Lots of this going on.
Beauty on a Jack Daniels barrel.
Admiring his date. 🙂
I told them to just “Be natural”, and this is what they gave me (above).
Do you see what I have to deal with?
Oh good grief, who the hell is THIS weirdo?
Lana’s giving me sideways crazy eyes like, “Who brought the weirdo?”
“No. Really. WHO BROUGHT THE WEIRDO?”
Christian’s Mom snapping some pics.
Best Friends 🙂
I know, I know. You can only handle so many prom photos before you just want to punch somebody in the face.
But one more, okay?
And that’s a wrap on Prom 2015, and ALL high school proms.
I did it…I survived multiple proms.
Thank you, Jesus!
These two kids were gorgeous, they had a blast every time, but after several years of this
I am 100% PROMMED OUT.
The next big celebration:
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION, May 2015
Since I’ve returned from near pneumonia death, maybe now I can pick back up with the writing/creating.
And you’re likely to see a future blog about this:
My new favorite toy 🙂
Okay, everybody…go sleep off your prom photo hangover.
Until next time,
